John Cummings

Named after the infamous creatures in the hit movie 'Gremlins', Mogwai was formed in Glasgow, in 1995. They initially performed as a three-piece before enlisting John Cummings on guitar.

Unlike other bands, Mogwai typically write lengthy, guitar-based, instrumental compositions that rely heavily on distortion and the clever use of FX and don't tend to feature any lyrics. John's distinct playing style is delineated by vivid sonic textures and experimental tuning.
