Troubleshooting : Cannot connect or pair with a Bluetooth device

Connect Your Speaker to Wi-Fi

Your speaker needs to be connected to a local 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network for the Bluetooth connection to work. Public Wi-Fi networks will not work with any Google Home devices.

  1. Download the Google Home app from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Follow the in-app instructions to set up your speaker.

  3. Pair your speaker with your audio device.

After the initial pairing, your speaker and audio device will auto-connect when they are switched on and within range of each other (10 meters).

Troubleshooting options

If you have connected your speaker to your local Wi-Fi network and still can't connect, try these options:

  • Turn the speaker off, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it on again.

  • Make sure your speaker is not already connected to a different Bluetooth device. If so, disconnect and try pairing again.

  • Push the Source button on top of the speaker and toggle to Bluetooth. A lit indicator shows which source is selected.

  • Push and hold the Source button for 3 seconds, until the Bluetooth indicator starts to blink. Activate Bluetooth on your audio device and select Acton II Google Voice from the Bluetooth list.

Factory Reset

If the issue persists, perform a factory reset to return the speaker to its original settings. This will delete all user settings and you need to set up the speaker again.

Follow these steps to perform a factory reset:

  1. Press and hold both the Source and Play/Pause button for 10 seconds.

  2. The Source LEDs will all flash quickly to confirm the reset was successful.

  3. Remove Acton II Google Voice from your audio device's Bluetooth list.

  4. Pair again by pushing and holding the Source button for 3 seconds, until the Bluetooth indicator starts to blink. Activate Bluetooth on your audio device and select Acton II Google Voice from the Bluetooth list.

Connect to Several Devices

Acton II Google Voice can be connected to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Playing a connected Bluetooth device will make it the selected audio source, pausing any previously played audio on the second device.
