Every year, Independent Venue Week, supported by BBC Music and Arts Council England, launch a seven day celebration of grassroots venues across the UK. It's a small token of appreciation for those who dedicate their time and money to keeping small venues alive. It's no secret that these venues have been struggling to stay open over the last decade but without them where would you go to see a new band or perform your first gig? IVW exists to protect all those music moments that you hold dear and we're proud to be a part of it.
We celebrated IVW with our cross country 'For The Record' tour, featuring Marshall Records artists Reigning Days and King Creature. Both bands treated the crowds to standout performances every night, beginning with an electric performance at Fuel, Cardiff. Fan favourites during the week include King Creature's 'Lowlife' and Reigning Days' 'My Sweet Love'.
Fresh talent, Elswhere, opened the show in London and Birmingham, warming up the crowd with their impressive songwriting skills. The bands journeyed north to Manchester for an unforgettable penultimate show before closing the tour in Edinburgh. Check out all the highlights in the photo gallery below.
