Douglas Scarratt

Formed in Barnsley, South Yorkshire in 1976, Saxon are one of the biggest hard rock and metal bands to have ever existed. As one of the leaders of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal era, they achieved incredible success with eight UK Top 40 albums in the 1980s, and numerous singles rating high in the UK, Europe and the US.

Having sold 15 million records worldwide, the band still tours actively today, and many of today's hard rock and metal acts consider them a key influence - including Metallica, Motley Crue, Skid Row and Megadeth.

Long-time fans of their Marshall Amps, Saxon have flown the flag for the brand all around the world.
