Formed during 1997 in Leicester, England, this group took its name from the infamous Linda Kasabian - serial killer, Charles Manson's driver who later turned on her boss by becoming a state witness. The band took the British press by storm in the early 2000s thanks to its patented musical recipe which mixed traces of the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Primal scream, with a pinch of Oasis-sized confidence and DJ Shadow-influenced electronica. Kasabian has since expanded its sound even more, but the band's foundation remains firmly rooted in mixing swaggering, fragmented dance textures with energetic rock n' roll.
