ALL THE HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE FIRST EVER MARSHALL LIVE

Saturday 1 June 2019 saw the first ever Marshall Live, bringing the best up-and-coming music to the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.

The day got off to a bang with 8 acts fighting it out on the Discovery Stage for a chance to play on the main stage, before Japanese rockers D_Drive performed for the first time ever on British soil, bringing riffs aplenty to kick everything off. With their debut album 'Maximum Impact' released the previous day this was a victory lap for a band carving out a big reputation around the globe.

Following them was Thousand Thoughts with a high-octane set that shows exactly why they're the hottest new modern alt-rock band around. From the first song lead singer Ethan Smith led the crowd with his infectious energy, before Bad Touch took to the stage to bring their swaggering brand of stomping rock to the Marshall Arena. King Creature then showcased their heavy beats and spectacular licks with a set that highlighted both their talent and that they are more than ready to step up to festival main stages across the UK this summer.

Rews were next to grace the stage and took proceedings up yet another notch. With infectious tunes and a captivating performance they demonstarted why they've not only had support slots with Halestorm but have also sold out their own tours in their own right. They then made way for Dan P. Carter to introduce Conflare who had earlier impressed on the Discovery Stage. Following that it was Keywest's turn to show why they’ve won so many admirers around the UK and Ireland.

The Hunna then performed an absolutely blistering set that drew on their first two albums whilst also debuting new material. Prowling the stage they connected magnificently with their audience and made this a home show that was memorable for all the right reasons, and had the crowd screaming for more.

More was just what they got, and as Yonaka had just dropped their debut album this was the perfect opportunity to experience their sublime live show. Exhibiting big riffs, pounding beats and soaring vocals, they cemented themselves as a band firmly on the rise.

With the audience now fully in party mode the next band up was another impressive graduate from the Discovery Stage, Bears in Trees, before they made way for Press To MECO to bring yet more riffs and sublime melodies to the big stage. Rounding off an unforgettable evening was Barns Courtney, performing with sweat dripping from his brow and with his heart on his sleeve, ensuring the festival finished with a memorable flourish.
