Joey Santiago
Influenced by the likes of Chet Atkins and Jimi Hendrix, Joey Santiago is best known as the lead guitarist for the Pixies. The Boston-based alt rock group rose to fame during the 80’s and 90’s, and were especially popular in Europe. Their unforgettable sound went on to inspire Nirvana, Weezer, Blur and Radiohead. The band broke up in 1993 but reunited in 2004, with their tour dates selling out in minutes. The creation of their 7th studio album has been charted in a documentary podcast narrated by Tony Fletcher.
