Troubleshooting : No audio or Audio is too low

Short answer

Check the audio source selection, adjust volume on both the speaker and audio device, and if needed, restart the speaker or perform a factory reset.

There can be several reasons why there is no audio output from the Acton II Voice. Try these options to fix the problem:

  • The most likely cause is that the wrong audio source is selected. Check if your audio device is connected to the speaker, either by Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or AUX. Make sure that no other device connected to the speaker is playing music.

  • The volume on the speaker is too low. Try turning the volume knob to level 5, right in the middle. Level 5 is the default, or unity volume.

  • The volume on the audio source is too low. Try increasing the volume slightly.

  • There is a software issue. Unplug the speaker from the wall socket, wait for a full 15 seconds, then plug it in again.

  • If the issue persists, perform a factory reset. This will delete all user settings, and you need to set up the speaker again. Push and hold both the Source button and the Play/pause button for 7 seconds to reset the speaker.
